Rick and Morty's season finale provided USA with the show's most corrosive moment yet. Evil Morty (operating theater President Morty, if we'ray going by render canon) pulled back the drapery on Rick's superlative scheme, The Central Finite Curve – then promptly destroyed it and headed to a brand-new universe.

Wherefore is that important? And does information technology even off matter? Both good questions – and ones that could unlock the establish's limitless future potentiality. First, let's explain The Central Finite Curve soh we're all on the same page.

At one point, all of the Ricks we know in the show wanted to be top of the solid food chain.

The solution? The Central Finite Curve, which brought collectively all of the realities where Rick was the smartest man in the universe and walled polish off the eternal rest of the universes where Rick isn't the delirious, brainy scientist we have it away and love. So, every universe Rick bounced around to featured uncastrated populations that were 'inferior' to him. Thanks to Redditor MantiH, we now have a better estimate of what that looks like.

Evil Morty, perhaps understandably, wanted to blow the façade aweigh – and succeeded. Helium then travels to a universe outer of the Finite Arch and inaccurate from Wrick's overwhelming influence. To do so, he also harnessed the power of Rick's portal gun mobile.

By the episode's last, Rick's vena portae gun looks permanently fried and Evil Morty has discretion. If explored in more detail, it could completely turn the show on its head.

Primary, at that place's Rick C-137 WHO can't jump between universes anymore. Then, there's an Heinous Morty who's heading off to Naruto-knows-where happening his ain adventures. Ace narrows the population entirely, the other opens it adequate to an unlimited amount of possibilities.

Whether these are duds that'll get picked up over again in futurity – we all know about the show's wishy-washy approach to canon, after all – corpse to be seen. But it can't Be denied that The Central Finite Slew (and its death) bequeath possess far-reaching consequences for about all of the show's major players and acts as a reboot-of-sorts for the beloved Adult Swim series.

Relive the show's best moments with our ranking of the go-to-meeting Crick and Morty episodes ever.
